success stories we benefit children

Success Stories

Every year We Benefit Children reviews “Silver Bullet” grant requests from local children’s charities seeking funds to further their cause. Silver Bullet items are tangible items that will directly support and impact the mission of the requesting charity group that will last beyond our giving. Because our members cover all overhead and administrative costs, 100% of your donations go directly to our charity projects!

Here are several examples of our recently funded projects that are changing the lives of kids in our community.

Film2Future

Film 2 Future (F2F) is on a mission to change the face of Hollywood by giving underserved LA-based teenagers access to professional-level filmmaking programs and employment opportunities and inspiring and empowering a new generation of diverse filmmakers through traditional and emerging technologies.

Message from Charity

WBC provided us with funds in our early stage of operation. With WBC’s support, we have grown to over 30 chapters, allowing us to spread the love and frosting to thousands of foster youth in need.

The Book Foundation

A Program of Make Good, The Book Foundation’s mission is simple: to get new, high-interest books into the hands of youth in need. The research is clear: on average, children who grow up in homes with no books are three years behind children in homes with lots of books. The Book Foundation provides books directly to children in need across greater Los Angeles through three avenues: school, agency, or program-based Book Nooks, Book Bundles, and directly to youth in need at book away days.

Silver Bullet Grant

Message from Charity

Our partnership with WBC has been amazing! Not only did we receive grant funding from them, but because of their belief in our program, they connected us with another funding source from which we could also receive funds. Being a part of the WBC family has been a true gift to our students, as they benefit from the equipment and services we can provide, thanks to the funds we received directly from or in connection with We Benefit Children.

Hope In A Suitcase

Hope In A Suitcase is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit group benefiting Los Angeles foster children. Children who have experienced violence or neglect enter the foster care system often with nothing but the clothes on their backs or carrying a few personal belongings in a plastic trash bag. Our mission is simple. We provide children and teens in foster care with a suitcase and NEW basic essentials and comfort items to make their transition and circumstances easier and more dignified.

Silver Bullet Grant

Clothes, suitcases, shoes.

Message from Charity

We Benefit Children, formerly The Water Buffalo Club’s continued support of our efforts in the foster care community, has allowed us to significantly increase our impact and help thousands of foster youth in need. WBC members immediately understood our goals and the crisis we were trying to solve and jumped in to join us with financial support and volunteer their time at our events.

We Benefit Children, formerly The Water Buffalo Club, has supported us multiple times. Each time, they supported us through the process from start to finish. Funds from WBC have allowed us to do many things, like provide a teen tech lounge, build a computer lab, and upgrade our facility. We could not have done all this without WBC’s support.

40 Love Foundation

40 Love Foundation uses the sport of tennis as a platform to develop skills, education, and mentorship that will impact kids’ lives.

Silver Bullet Grant

WBC has been a great supporter and partner. Not only did they fund our grant request, but their team has also made themselves available to coach and mentor our Leadership Team when needed. As a newer organization, the support provided by WBC has been a game changer for us and has allowed us to program our programming options for youth in need.

Message from Charity

Why Can’t We Make A Difference wouldn’t have the impact it has today if not for the longtime support from WBC. Thanks to the support and partnership of our friends at WBC, we have been able to emphasize what we do for the children of our community.
