- Helping underserved children in Los Angeles County
- Charities annual budget must be $500,000 or less
- The request must be for a capital item, not for operating funds

How to Apply
We Benefit Children awards numerous grants to organizations supporting children in need. Children’s charities throughout Los Angeles County whose annual budget does not exceed $500,000 and are in need of “Silver Bullet” capital items are eligible to apply.
Through our vetting process, we have the opportunity to meet the people behind these charities. Their dedication and commitment inspires us to do more to support our mission to improve the lives of children in need. Since 1989 we’ve provided more than 300 charities with funds to help purchase much needed capital items.
We are always looking for charities to partner with; if you know of any charities that meet our qualifications, please direct them to us or have them email us.
What’s the Vetting Process?
Step 1
Charity submits a grant application on grant page.
Step 2
Qualified applicants will receive a call from one of our members, who will set up a time to do a site visit.
Step 3
The WBC Grant Committee meets to review all applications and votes to move selected charities forward.
Step 4
Selected charities are invited to make a presentation to the full membership of WBC, who then decide what charities receive funding and how much they will receive.
Step 5
Charities receive notification of their award and the process for accessing their grants. Charities have one year to spend funds and must wait for two years before applying for a new grant.
